Avanti West Coast makes a TV ad debut

They've only been around a couple of months but new rail franchise Avanti West Coast has set about telling the masses who they are and what they do - with some good old-fashioned TV advertising.

Have a butcher's hook and see what you think.



I really like the idea, the production is top-notch and the soundtrack is very sing-a-long-able but I can't help thinking that there should be a stronger branding presence throughout.

Any new brand should be trying to embed their name and identity into my conscience, alongside telling me what problem they solve. For some brands that exercise can be pretty instant, for some, it can take years, whilst others may never even reach that goal.

Would I remember the ad? Yes.

Would I remember the ad being for a train company? Possibly.

Would I remember the ad being for Avanti West Coast? Probably not.
