There's a lot to be said when you can create a piece of communication that is instantly recognisable as a particular brand - even without a logo.
Nike, Virgin and Apple can all do it and by the looks of things, so can FedEx. A simple idea that benefits from decades of visual consistency in every market they operate.
Could you name a bus or train company that even comes close (it obviously helps when you have just a single brand to build recognition of...)?
